Adrain Frutiger
Adrian Frutiger was a Swiss typeface designer who influenced the direction of type design in the second half of the 20th century. He created some of the most popular typefaces of the 20th and 21st centuries, such as Univers, Frutiger and Avenir12. He was born in Unterseen, Canton of Bern, Switzerland, on May 24, 1928, and died on September 10, 20151. He had many prestigious awards, including The Gutenberg Prize, the Chevalier de l’Order des Arts et Lettres, Typography Award from SOTA and the New York Type Directors Club Type Medal2.
